About this Product
Overview
Spectra Precision GL1425C is a high performance, TRUE grade laser with two way full function remote control and superior grade, level and vertical plane capabilities. The required grade for each axis is entered via the keypad on the instrument or RC1402 remote control, and is displayed on the LCD panel.
The GL1425C Grade Laser can also self-plumb in the vertical plane, for applications such as anchor bolt installation and curtain walling.
To avoid interference with any other laser crews on site, or for safety reasons, the laser beam can be electronically blanked out on up to any three sides of the instrument.
The Spectra GL1425C can be used with any Spectra Precision laser detector. It is particularly suited for use with the larger machine mounted laser detectors for digging or grading operations, whereby the driver can check the grade without leaving the cab.
The most popular detector choices for the GL1425C are the HL760 or CR700 (with magnetic mount) for advanced applications (as described below) or another option is to simply add the standard Spectra CR600 to this kit, when working with plant equipment.
Note: Both the CR600 & CR700 can be used on a conventional staff AND with their magnetic machine mounts, on plant equipment but only the CR700 offers digital offset readings and the following advanced features.
Bluetooth Built-in
The Spectra GL1425C incorporates Bluetooth connectivity. This connects the laser to an app loaded on your smart device, giving you even more control over the laser settings. With the app, you can control all the functions the same as you could from the laser keypad. In addition to being convenient, it’s also available at no cost from the Google Play Store (Android), saving system costs in the process.
Specialist advanced features:
The Spectra Precision HL760 or CR700 detectors offer both "Automatic Grade Match" and "Vertical PlaneLok" as described below.
Automatic Grade Matching. A very useful feature for drainage work. You will need both the HL760 or CR700 detector with the RC1402 remote control.
The remote control menu is used to access the Auto Grade Matching feature and to signal the laser level to scan up or down (in its Y-axis) to find the detector at its set height. A radio link between the two, enables the laser to be set to the required slope. This is much faster and more accurate than trying to manually set the laser to the required slope.
The PlaneLok function. Using the HL760 or CR700 detector with the RC1402 remote control.
This feature is used to lock the laser beam in alignment with the target point - especially useful for general alignment and vertical cladding applications etc.
Mask Mode allows you to electronically turn off the laser beam (electronic shutters) in up to 3 lighthouse windows to prevent interference with other receivers on the jobsite.
This feature can also be especially useful when working in proximity to glazing, bi-fold doors or other surfaces where refraction of the laser beam can be an issue.

Detector features
Choosing the right detector ensures maximum performance from the GL1425C. The kit has an HL760 or CR700 for machine control applications but also see the optional magnetic detector, model CR600. It is more basic than the CR700 but competitively priced.
Standard kit with HL760 Detector & Bracket:
The Spectra Precision® Laser HL760 Laser Detector, a highly versatile laser receiver for basic and advanced leveling and aligning applications, is designed for general, concrete and site preparation contractors.
The HL760 is an easy-to-use tool that accurately measures elevations across the site, and is ideal for use with any rotating red beam laser level.
It features a digital readout of elevation that provides a numeric display of +/-50mm to 0.5mm resolution. The readout is displayed on the large front and rear LCD's and shows exactly how far the elevation is from on-grade. Accurate measurements can be made without moving the rod clamp, saving time and increasing productivity.
Selectable units of measurement can be displayed to meet your specific application - mm, cm, ft, in or fractional inches.
A 127mm long pick-up window, more than double the industry standard, allows quick acquisition of the laser beam.
An anti-strobe sensor prevents false readings from any adjacent site strobe lights.
Radio Communication - allows working with another HL760 for long range remote display and monitoring capability. The HL760 also communicates with an LL400HV, HV302, GL412N and GL1425C in automatic Grade Match and PlaneLok applications.
This detector is designed to survive tough construction site conditions; it is totally waterproof (IP67) and can withstand a drop of 3 metres (10 feet) onto concrete.
The HL760 comes with a 1 Year Outlet Warranty.
Features:
Reduces rework by allowing remote monitoring.
Increases reliability, accuracy and durability.
No need to go "on-grade" to measure: saves considerable setting-out time.
Digital readout of elevation - not only will high or low arrows be displayed, but the exact distance from grade will be numerically displayed, which eliminates the need to get "on-grade" to make measurements.
Large 127mm reception height acquires the beam quickly and makes it easy to stay in the beam. Anti-strobe sensor stops construction strobe lights from setting off the detector and makes it easier to identify true laser beam signals.
Simultaneous elevation LED's signal in low light levels and over a longer range for easier reading in poor light conditions.
A new CAPTURE function remotely captures and retains a measurement, when the display is difficult to see.
Multiple deadband sensitivity settings, five in all, allows adaptation to meet all your jobsite requirements.
Dust and weatherproof housing withstands a drop of up to 3 m (10 ft) onto concrete for reduced downtime.
Two clamp positions for cut/fill or excavation. Excavation mode puts more reception height and elevation information above grade for higher utilization in digging and staking applications.
Example usage:
Remote grade checking with cable free Remote Display.
Wireless monitoring of foundations and steel erections.
Risk free monitoring of tilt up wall position.
Setting and checking jobsite elevation and depth for:
Cut and fills
General grading
Foundations, forms and footings
Excavations
Technical specification
Accuracy:
+/- 1.5mm @ 30 metres, max. operating diameter 800m (400m either side of the instrument).
An accuracy of +/- 1.5mm @ 30 metres is equivalent to 0.05 mm/m and to put that into perspective, the best premium German spirit level has an accuracy of +/- 0.5 mm/m or +/- 15mm @ 30 metres.
Dual Grade facility with included RC1402 Remote Control:
Dual axis X and Y axis up to +/-10% (1 in 10)
Both X & Y axis can be set to give a maximum fall of up to 1m at 10m distance away. (ie. 1 in 10 & +/-10% grade)
The User can dual grade from the laser's keypad or via the included RC1402 radio remote.
Example usage
Grading and excavating
Levelling concrete forms and footers
General construction vertical alignment and plumb such as anchor bolt and form alignment
Sports fields, tennis courts and driveways
Steep slope road embankments and ditch banks
Ramps and drainage

Do you need ShockWatch® adding to your Laser?
The optional ShockWatch impact indicator clip is a tamperproof, mechanically activated device that turns bright red to indicate mishandling or after the Laser has received an excessive impact. Designed to mount directly onto the Laser Level, the clip is compact and economical and provides 360° impact detection alerting the user to check the Lasers Calibration before use. If this option is selected, our Technicians will fit your Laser with a Shockwatch prior to dispatch, giving you and your users extra piece of mind on the job site.
