Overview

We are the main UK Distributors for the FUKUDA brand of laser levels, where the FRE-205 is by far the most popular in their range. We have been selling it for many years and these kits have proved to have a very good reliability record.

The FRE-205 is a horizontal levelling laser which has been designed specifically for exterior Groundworks but at a very affordable price. It is constructed with a rugged housing and has an automatic drift system (bump sensor), together with the optional Fukuda RC2054 Remote Control enabling the facility to Dual Grade; making this the laser of choice for Groundworks Contractors working to a budget.

Included in this special DUO kit is an EK-112M Crossline laser to cover most indoor work. Its auto levelling has bright red beams & is supplied with an "L" shaped, magnetic mounting bracket (for wall mounting etc). This combination has proved to be very popular even for Groundworkers who have found the Crossline laser useful for other indoor tasks.

Rotary Laser Level:

The FRE-205 auto levels horizontally; is accurate to +/-3mm over 30m and has a 500 metre range, using the supplied laser detector.

For site Groundworks use, the laser can be purchased with the optional Fukuda RC205-4 Remote Control enabling the dual-grade facility. Switch off the auto levelling by pressing the Manual button on the remote control. This enables the User to accurately and easily set slopes (grades) in both X and Y axis, as required.

Note: Outdoors, we recommend setting the rotating speed to maximum (600rpm) to give the best operating distance & stability, when using the detector. For User convenience, the FRE-205 can operate on either of its two Li-ion rechargeable batteries (supplied). These high-powered lithium batteries can either be charged in the laser or externally.

Cross Line Laser:

The EK-112M auto levels quickly & accurately; giving a fine, bright, red laser cross - ideal for both horizontal & vertical setting-out.

A transit latch protects the mechanism (to avoid transportation damage) and the case is surrounded by a rubber cover for worksite protection.

It comes with a very handy multi-function magnetic "L" shaped bracket which acts as an All-in-One system: a wall mounting Bracket with both a 1/4" and 5/8" tripod thread. This gives the User the choice of mounting the laser onto a tripod or a Floor to Ceiling Pole with either 1/4" or 5/8" threads. (Please see our Accessories section for various Pole Kits.)

This "2 in 1" DUO package covers both indoor & outdoor groundworks applications, for the General builder.

All in all, its a very versatile & popular kit.

Want to set slopes or gradients?

If you want to be able to set slopes or gradients with the FRE-205 you will need to add the Fukuda RC2054 remote control to the kit.

This remote control gives you the option of controlling the unit from the measuring staff position up to a distance of 20m away, when doing manual slope matching. You simply switch the laser to manual, then using the "arrow" buttons, slope the laser beam in the required direction. This can be in a single axis (typically for drainage) or in both axis together (dual grading). Without the remote, you do not have the ability whatsoever to set slopes or gradients, as it cannot be controlled from the laser's keypad.

An accuracy of +/- 3mm @ 30 metres is equivalent to 0.1 mm/m and to put that into perspective, the best premium German spirit level has an accuracy of +/- 0.5 mm/m or +/- 15mm @ 30 metres.

Dual Grade facility (Only available using optional RC2054 Remote Control):

Both X & Y axis can be set to give a maximum fall of up to 0.8m at 10m distance away. (ie. 1 in 12.5 & +/-8% grade)

Wow, received delivery of this item today and immediately carried out a 2 peg test on it. Super impressed. Over 30m this thing showed zero deviation. Strangely the two points I picked on our floor are exactly the same level - coincidence but my first two readings from level position one were 1566 &1566, my second two readings from level position two were 1556 & 1556. I like that this unit just takes standard AA's also as it means it can be stored away for long periods minus its batteries and whenever it gets called into service just pop some new AA's into it. Delivery was super quick to Ireland, well done to all at laser levels online.

Product Evolution

The Fukuda FRE-205 Kit has evolved steadily since it's launch in 2012. With many refinements and improvements over the early 1st Generation models. The kit was vastly improved with the launch of the DUO kit in 2015 and again with the 3ʳᵈ Generation model in 2021. In Summer 2024 the Fukuda FRE-205 4th Generation was launched with a new body style which takes its styling cues from the enormously popular FRE-203X series of Lasers. The 4th Generation model also now features a 2600mAh Lithium Battery Pack which can be conveniently charged using a USB-C cable from a USB power source or AC outlet.

Fukuda Lasers have developed a "top of the range" detector for the Professional Tradesperson which is easy-to-use and accurate. It is also ideal for use with any brand of rotating, red beam laser level.

The RLR200D is a highly versatile, well-featured laser detector for both basic and advanced levelling & aligning applications; designed for general landscaping, concrete slabs/footings and site preparation Contractors. It features a digital readout of elevation that provides a numeric display of +30mm to -60mm (total 90mm range) & with a 1mm resolution. Accurate measurements can be made without moving the staff clamp, saving time and increasing productivity. The readout is displayed on large front and rear LCD's, showing exactly how far the elevation is from on-grade. A back-light assists readings in low ambient lighting.

Selectable units of measurement can be displayed to meet your specific application: in mm or inches. A 100mm long red pick-up window, allows quick acquisition of the laser beam. Readings are shown in three ways: via back and front displays, coloured LED indication and by audible sound, selectable loud/normal/quiet/off. This detector is designed to survive tough construction site conditions, being water and dustproof to IP65. It can be used as either a hand-held or staff mounted detector for a wide range of general construction applications.
